The Chedi Andermatt blends chalet architecture with Asian design: dark wood, open fireplaces and a large spa, created by architect Jean-Michel Gathy. The hotel sits at the entrance to the village of Andermatt, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, and is the base for the Andermatt–Sedrun ski area and the Gemsstock.

It is about 110 kilometres from Zurich Airport. Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you via the Gotthard motorway and through the Schöllenen Gorge right to the entrance on Gotthardstrasse. The fixed price is based on the actual route and set before you book.

The drive and arriving at the hotel

The drive usually takes about an hour and a half to an hour and three quarters: via the A4 and A2 past Lake Lucerne to Göschenen, then up through the Schöllenen Gorge to Andermatt. This last road is open all year – unlike the passes around it (Gotthard, Furka, Oberalp), which close in winter.

The Schöllenen begins at Göschenen just below Andermatt; in snow it can be slower here. Our drivers know the road and build in a reserve in winter.
