The Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois has stood on the banks of the Rhine in Basel's Old Town for centuries and is considered one of the oldest city hotels in Europe. From the balconies you look out over the Rhine and the Mittlere Brücke; the Marktplatz, town hall and cathedral are within walking distance.

The drive and arriving at the hotel
Depending on traffic the drive takes about 75 to 105 minutes. The final stretch runs through the Grossbasel Old Town to Blumenrain, where the driver stops right outside the main entrance.
During Art Basel in June, the Swiss Indoors in October and the Basel Fasnacht, the city is full and parts of the Old Town are closed. We then allow more time and arrange access in advance.
Tips for your stay
- Messe Basel and the St. Jakobshalle are a short transfer from the hotel – including late at night after the last match or reception.
- During Art Basel vehicles are scarce across the region: book your transfer together with the hotel.
- For meetings in Zurich and Basel on the same day, an hourly booking with a VAT invoice is worth it.
