The Bürgenstock juts into Lake Lucerne like a rocky ridge. On top, around 500 metres above the water, sits the Bürgenstock Resort with several hotels, restaurants and the extensive Alpine Spa – and a view that reaches from Lucerne to Mount Pilatus.
It is about 75 to 80 kilometres from Zurich Airport. Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you via the motorway towards Stans, then up the mountain road straight to your hotel within the resort. The price is fixed in advance and applies per vehicle.
The drive and arriving at the hotel
The drive usually takes 70 to 85 minutes. After leaving the motorway near Stansstad, a winding road climbs via Obbürgen to the plateau. Within the resort the driver takes you to the door of the hotel you booked – just tell us the hotel name when booking.
There is a second, particularly beautiful way up: by boat from Lucerne to the Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock landing and from there by funicular. On request we take you and your luggage to the boat station in Lucerne – or deliver the luggage straight to the resort.
Tips for your stay
- Tell us which of the resort's hotels you are staying in; some buildings are a few hundred metres apart.
- For a trip to Lucerne or up Pilatus, an hourly booking from the resort is handy – the mountain road is narrow and parking in Lucerne is scarce.
- Families with lots of luggage travel most comfortably in the V-Class; child seats are free of charge.
