The Alpina Gstaad opened in 2012 and shows just how modern a chalet can be: reclaimed wood, natural stone and plenty of contemporary art, plus a large spa and restaurants with international cuisine. The hotel sits on a quiet rise above the village, a few minutes from the centre.
It is about 200 kilometres from Zurich Airport. Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you without a single change to the entrance on Alpinastrasse; the fixed price is based on the actual route and set before you book.
The drive and arriving at the hotel
The route runs via Bern and Spiez into the Simmental and over Zweisimmen and Saanenmöser to Gstaad, usually in two and a half to three hours. Just before the village the driver turns onto Alpinastrasse and climbs the slope to the forecourt.
In snowfall we allow a little more time in the Simmental; in winter we drive with full winter equipment.
