The Benedictine monastery has shaped the village since 1120 – today with a show dairy in its courtyard. Above it towers the Titlis (3,238 m) with the rotating Rotair gondola, glacier cave and suspension bridge; the north-facing Laub run counts among freeriding's greatest descents in the Alps.
